Practice Practice Practice

Happy Thanksgiving! The household has been very busy working with the new plasma cutter and I am happy to announce there are a bunch of new products for sale. In addition to some custom projects (pictures coming soon!) and orders, I have been working with negative space designs. Practice makes perfect right?!?!

A few things I have learned so far…Goldendoodle Lucy does not like the sound of the plasma cutter, but she loves standing in front of the heater. Blue Heeler Rocket loves to chase his ball in the shop, but forgets to watch where he’s going (got quite the goose egg on his head from a slightly overexcited interaction with the crane). Cat Mickey enjoys investigating all the shop smells. Cat Mallory though, thinks chasing crickets is preferable to machine smells and noises.

But really, the plasma cutter is a combination of a lot of software programs, machine workings, and of course understanding which metal is the best material for each type of cut. The wife and I have split some tasks which has made it easier to learn and implement quickly. So the past few weeks have been a lot of practice, practice, practice! And we’re having a lot of fun doing it!

In the spirit of fun, I made a couple YouTube videos of the machine at work and some of the products so far. Please check them out! (Song credit goes to King Buffalo)

Did you know, if you have an idea for some metal art, metal panels for your rails, metal signs, or basically anything metal, you can submit on the “Get a Quote” page? I am happy to work with you for all your metal needs!
