Oh the Weather Outside is Frightful...

…well not really, but it’s pretty DANG COLD! Hope you are all staying warm this December!! Normally in this chilly weather, the outside work slows down. This winter though, has seen some very cold installs (not complaining, just saying!) and some really fun projects.

This particular decorative outdoor railing project included repairing existing rails as well as adding new rails to match the existing design. And I learned a lot. Things like, those decorative pieces are difficult to find! And once you do find them, they will come in the wrong size!! And wow they are heavy!!! But some creative and hard work on those got them to fit and match the existing railings perfectly, if I do say so myself. And now the homeowners will have a safe outdoor path regardless of what this winter throws at us.

Plasma cutting work included some new business signs, a very large address sign (appropriately sized, for the property), a Christmas present project for a friend, and a heat shield for a stove. What is extra fun is the backlighting beneath and behind the sheets, which were powder coated black.

Even though this week is particularly cold…we’re looking at a high of -7 on Thursday?!?!?!…I’m working up another set of rails, with an interesting curve, for another outside install. Definitely going to have to test fit and get it to powder coat before Thursday so we can enjoy a long holiday weekend!
