Busy Summer!!

Lots of goings-on around this place the past few months. In addition to a lot of work (and a big thank you to all the customers supporting small business!), we’ve had a lot of home projects. Just to name a few, we put up a gazebo so we can comfortably eat on the back patio, thanks to some industrious ladybugs we have finally won the Great Spider Mite War in the greenhouse, blue heeler Rocket met his first bull snake by jumping on it (everyone was ok, including the snake), and even found some time to make tables for the front porch. Had a blast at the El Paso County Fair where I entered the ‘52 MGTD into the car competition too! And that’s not all!

A lot of handrails were installed, and some really fun indoor projects including a spiral staircase in a small-space corner. Hoping to be making a big announcement before the end of the year, so stay tuned! Meanwhile here are some pictures from around our property. Enjoy!

Sunset from our backyard; you can just see the tip of Pike’s Peak over the hill.

Herds of antelope just chilling out.

Another spectacular summer sunset!

Starling caught by trail cam.

Some of the more daring antelope come close to the house.

Larry, the local Cooper’s Hawk, calmly perusing for prey. His girlfriend is Stella. They like to perch on the electrical poles.

With my father-in-law at the El Paso County Fair car show! It was hot.

We planted a spruce last year that did not make it. So I turned him into a set of tables for the front porch and learned a lot about pouring epoxy.
